Veteran film producer Michael Taylor works within the studio system as well as in the independent film community. His credits include Phenomenon (1996), Princess of Thieves (2001), and Copying Beethoven (2006). Taylor also serves as Professor and Chair of Film and Television Production at the USC School of Cinematic Arts, where he was faculty mentor to Mendocino native and USC Film graduate Shyam Balsé. Balsé’s thesis film Monsoon (2006) screened at thirty-five film festivals and won thirteen awards, including Best Short Narrative Film at the 2007 Mendocino Film Festival.
